About Us
Our Mission: The Southington Symphonic Band is a non-profit organization created to provide the opportunity for community members to participate in a Concert Band experience. Membership is open to anyone, high school level to adult, who plays a band instrument. The SSB presents multiple concerts for the community throughout the year.
The Southington Symphonic Band welcomes anyone high school age or older who would like to play their instrument. Rehearsals are on Monday nights from 7-9 pm. Concerts are always free, but donations are always welcome. If you are interested in joining the group, contact the band at SouthingtonSymphonicBand@gmail.com.
The Southington Symphonic Band is under the direction of Jeff Shaw, brass teacher at The Music Shop and former Assistant Principal and Director of Bands, Southington High School.
